About us

The mission of Steel & Engineering - Smarter collaboration, stronger future

Steel & Engineering is to contribute to financial growth, new job opportunities and the establishment of new businesses and to boost the overall employment rate in our region.
Based on the needs of the companies we represent in Värmland, Steel & Engineering will act as a system integrator within the regional innovation system, focusing on entrepreneurship, business development, industry-related R&D, as well as training and competence provision. Within each field, special consideration will be given to the horizontal goals of gender, sustainable development and integration. We will also take part in the effort to develop the cluster process in the region.

Our work will follow the Triple Helix model, that is, in co-operation with the regional steel and engineering industry, academia and the public sector, to assist the Värmland-based businesses of our sector in their quest to strengthen their competitiveness.
